Another very early recording. This time at the Argus Butterfly, Peterlee in November 1969. Many big names played here but we worked one night with a great local band called Government. The lead singer was none other than David Coverdale who later went on to front Deep Purple before forming Whitesnake. We heard him being interviewed on Radio Newcastle recently. He was really inspirational, so we're definitely not downbeat and broken.
